About This Track

A cover of a song written by Greg Sage, 'D-7' finds Nirvana working in a minor key of unease. The lyrics cycle through images of social rejection and displacement, each verse returning to the refrain "Dimension seven" like a mantra or a warning. There's a quality of dread in the repetition, a sense of being trapped in a loop of defiance and alienation. The track builds its tension through restraint.
