About This Track

'Be Here' by Orchards is a 2018 pop track from the album 'Losers/Lovers EP'. The lyrics cast a relationship in crisis, with a speaker asking someone to stay close and love them, even as deception and fear distort what the feelings are supposed to mean. There is a sense of emotional bargaining, and then a bruised acceptance, summed up in the plea to “be here to love me”. The song moves through conflicting impulses, wanting closeness while also trying to cover up hard truths.

"Be Here" is a track by Orchards, from the album Losers/Lovers EP, released 5th July 2018. The track is 3:14 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 1 article about Orchards.

Lyrics

Be Here

Be here to love me when all else has gone
You deceive my emotions to prove I'm the only one
I would hold out my feelings to hide from the truth
'Cause she scared me into thinking I mean nothing to you
Be here to love me when all else has gone

'Cause if I'm falling for you
Falling, falling for you it's a mistake (falling for you, falling, falling for you)
'Cause if I'm falling for you
Falling, falling for you it's a mistake (falling for you, falling, falling for you)

Be here, baby
'Cause you ain't been here lately
Be here, baby
'Cause you ain't been here lately

I've been chasing you through rainstorms
'Cause you live your life against the grain
I said to stay here and love me
But things will never be the same
Right now I never know the difference between right or wrong
So be here to love me when you forget all the things I've done

'Cause if I'm falling for you
Falling, falling for you it's a mistake (falling for you, falling, falling for you)
'Cause if I'm falling for you
Falling, falling for you it's a mistake (falling for you, falling, falling for you)

Be here, baby
'Cause you ain't been here lately
Be here, baby
'Cause you ain't been here lately
Be here, baby
'Cause you ain't been here lately

No
No-woah
Be here
No
Be here

'Cause if I'd fallen for you
Fallen, fallen for you it's a mistake
'Cause if I'd fallen for you
Fallen, fallen for you it's a mistake

'Cause if I'd fallen for you
Fallen, fallen for you
Fallen for you
Fallen, fallen for you
Fallen for you
Fallen, fallen for you

New music from Orchards is pretty much always a nice time. Upbeat, fun and angsty in a we've-been-here-too-isn't-it-blah kinda way, the Brighton alt-pop...
