'Pine Point' by PUP is an alternative track from the album 'The Dream Is Over' released in 2016. Its lyrics look back on a hometown that has decayed and emptied, with overgrown roads and a closed mine, as people disappear. The narrator places personal grief inside that wider ruin, describing how their older brother died, and how his brother’s best friend also lost their life. One line sums up the dread of return and repetition, “The mine was closed in '88”. The result is a haunted, place-centred lament, half memory and half obituary.
"Pine Point" is a track by PUP, from the album The Dream Is Over, released 26th May 2016. The track is 4:01 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 14 articles about PUP.
