Purity Ring have served up their 'lemonlime' ahead of an extensive world tour

About This Track
'Lofticries' arrives as a study in bodily surrender and collective dissolution. Purity Ring constructs the track around repetition and accumulation: bead-weighted chests, trembling thighs, weepy skin cycling through the refrain with hypnotic precision. The lyrics move between states of weather and flesh, thunder and rain bleeding into veins, the physical and meteorological collapsing into one another. There is something almost liturgical in the repetition, a chant built from grief and moisture. The second half pivots inward, addressing a brother figure tasked with collecting liquids from the floor, fashioning them into paste, letting the mixture seep through sockets and ear holes. It is an image of care and contamination at once, healing and intrusion folded together. The song holds both tenderness and violation in suspension, never quite resolving which is which. Throughout, Purity Ring's production sits beneath the lyrics like held breath, letting the words carry their own strange weight.
