'Reckoner' appeared on Radiohead's 2007 album 'In Rainbows', released as the fourth and final single from the record in September 2008. The track had existed in embryonic form years earlier, debuted under the working title 'Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses' at a show in Washington state in 2001. Thom Yorke described the song as "kind of a love song... Sort of." He identified the line about separation and ripples on a blank shore as the centre of 'In Rainbows', explaining that "everything's leading to that point and then going away from that point." The lyric gave the album its title; the phrase "in rainbows" appears in the song itself. The dedication to "all human beings" frames the track's address as universal rather than intimate, a love song that disperses outward.
"Reckoner" is a single by Radiohead, from the album In Rainbows, released 9th October 2007. The track is 4:50 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 19 articles about Radiohead.
