About This Track

‘Starlight’ by Rostam is an alternative track from the album ‘Changephobia’, released in 2021. The lyrics frame a kind of cosmic romance, with stardust and time softened into a slow, sinking and rising feeling, as if closeness makes the world linger and even “earth slows”. The speaker imagines the other person as a source of glow and momentum, turning ordinary time together into something luminous that hangs around.

"Starlight" is a track by Rostam, from the album Changephobia, released 3rd June 2021. The track is 4:06 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 8 articles about Rostam.

Lyrics

Starlight

All the stardust in you
Has been there before time
And when I get to see you
The glow slips in my mind

That's how I float
When you're near earth slows
And I get a feeling like
I'm coming up from underwater

'Cause it's starlight whenever you're around me
Starlight whenever we hang out
Starlight, a hundred sparks surround me
Starlight, I wanna slow it down but I can't, no

All the windows open
A breeze comes through the room
And carries me out gently
Up towards the moon

That's how I float
When you're near earth slows
And I get a feeling like
I'm coming up from underwater

'Cause it's starlight whenever you're around me
Starlight whenever we hang out
Starlight, a hundred sparks surround me
Starlight, I wanna slow it down but I can't

'Cause it's starlight whenever you're around me
Starlight whenever we hang out
Starlight, a hundred sparks surround me
Starlight, I wanna slow it down but I can't
