About This Track

'Killer' by Salem is an Alternative track from the album 'King Night', released in 2010. The lyrics set up a restless run towards a looming deadline, then pivot into a darkly comic portrait of someone stuck in bed, with “spiders in your hair”, before insisting that the fight is for the self. The singer promises departure before the next turning of the light, but the threat implied in the title hangs over the whole forward motion, making the journey feel less like escape and more like survival.

"Killer" is a track by Salem, from the album King Night, released 27th September 2010. The track is 4:51 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below.

Lyrics

Killer

And I've got miles and miles to go
Before the falling of the sun
And I'll be leaving soon
Before the rising of the moon

And you can't get out of bed
And you've got spiders in your hair
And when you come, your mind it goes
You know you're fighting for your soul

And I've got miles and miles to go
Before the falling of the sun
And I'll be leaving soon
Before the rising of the moon

And you can't get out of bed
And you've got spiders in your hair
And when you come, your mind it goes
You know you're fighting for your soul

And I've got miles and miles to go
Before the falling of the sun
And I'll be leaving soon
Before the rising of the moon

And you can't get out of bed
And you've got spiders in your hair
And when you come, your mind it goes
You know you're fighting for your soul

And you can't get out of bed
And you've got spiders in your hair
And when you come, your mind it goes
You know you're fighting for your soul
