About This Track
'Wired' by Scowl is a 2023 punk track from 'Psychic Dance Routine - EP'. The lyrics rehearse the feeling of being stuck in a headspace, insisting “Wired this way”, while a screen replaces direct conversation. The second strand is weary and self-critical, with the narrator looking for a way out of time that feels wasted, and a life that risks passing without attention.

Lyrics
Wired this way Wired this way Wired this way I'm wired this way We can't escape this frame of mind I'm checking out and losing time, time We can't escape this frame of mind I'm checking out and losing time, time Staring at a screen instead of talking to me Don't want a wasted life There's really no way out Staring at a screen instead of talking to me Don't want a wasted life There's really no way out
