Will Yip is an American producer, engineer, songwriter and musician, and a defining force in modern hardcore, emo and alternative rock. Working largely out of Studio 4 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, he has cultivated a community of artists who return to him again and again, producing and engineering for Turnstile, Code Orange, Movements, Circa Survive, Turnover, Superheaven, Tigers Jaw, The Menzingers, Saosin, Balance and Composure, Scowl and Anthony Green. His approach blends a heavy band's intensity with real attention to melody and detail, drawing organic, full-bodied performances from acts often pigeonholed as abrasive. A Grammy-nominated producer whose work with Code Orange and Turnstile has brought hardcore to its widest audience yet, Yip has become one of the most sought-after names in American heavy music while keeping his base firmly in Pennsylvania.
