About This Track
'Ghost' by Sigrid is a 2023 pop track from 'The Hype - EP'. The lyrics circle around a bruised kind of sentimentality, with the narrator confessing that they cannot help it. There is longing and a sense of self-reproach, as they admit they wanted someone to match an imagined ideal, then rage at the abandonment that follows, leaving “the door just a little bit open”. The song’s emotional engine is the vow-like persistence of devotion, expressed in lines about following wherever the other person goes and remaining tied to them.
"Ghost" is a single by Sigrid, from the album The Hype - EP, released 26th October 2023. The track is 3:34 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 20 articles about Sigrid.

Three useful entry points into King Princess’s work with other artists, from Fousheé’s ‘Little Bother’ to ‘Head On Fire’ with Griff, Sigrid and MØ, plus a production credit on Suki Waterhouse’s ‘18’.
Sigrid’s third album makes room for the giddy mess of flirting, post-break-up fury and the more difficult work of seeing a relationship from somebody else’s side.
Sigrid’s 2022 special edition did more than append bonus tracks: its acoustic companion recast How To Let Go around the songwriting she made with long-time collaborator Askjell.
A chronological route through Sigrid’s three albums and the EPs that make the bigger picture clearer.
With the release of her 'Don't Kill My Vibe' EP earlier this year, Sigrid introduced herself as a pop sensation. Performing on Reading Festival's Dance Stage the Scandinavian artist breathes fresh life into the hype. Sugar sweet vocals hypnotise the crowd, never more so than in the set's single stripped back number. The real power here, however, lies in the songs' addictive pop punch. This is music with weight, an energy and motion destined to command, and the gathered crowd are powerless to stop it - not that anyone here wants to. Feel good almost to an extreme, it's a performance made to marvel in. So that's exactly what the audience do. Giving themselves in to the music, the energy builds with every bouncing riff. Dancing around the stage with an effortless grace, basking in the moment entirely, there's every sense that this is what Sigrid was born to do.
How do you define a superstar? We've tried many different variations (I mean it's kinda our jobs y'know) but really, it's all about a feeling. A moment in time which you can point to and say "Yes - this is the real deal" and every other description can go to…
