From Liverpool locals to LA lifestyle, The Wombats’ sixth album finds Murph and Co. embracing imperfection and fighting against processed perfection in modern music.

With their new album 'Oh! The Ocean' out now, we look back and pick ten essential Wombats tracks that capture their journey from giddy upstarts to seasoned indie heroes.

Murph is back on solo duty, as The Wombats frontman heralds the arrival of his second album as Love Fame Tragedy.

They're going to perform at Crystal Palace Park.

The six-track EP was self-released in full on November 18th.

A digital reissue will arrive on November 8th, with a vinyl release coming on April 28th.

The EP will be released in full on November 18th.

You can check out the title track now, ahead of the November release.

The track will be the first new material since their UK number one album 'Fix Yourself, Not The World'.

The festival will take place, unsurprisingly, in October.

Tune in tonight (18th April) on Dork Radio from 8pm, or grab the podcast after.

The band will play headline shows in Edinburgh, Belfast, Dublin, Sheffield, Norwich, Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester.

There's also Circa Waves, Courting, Priestgate and loads more.

The band's fifth studio record 'Fix Yourself, Not The World' hit the top of the charts in this weeks' rundown yesterday (21st January).

Not ones to let a pesky global pandemic get in their way, The Wombats are back with a new single titled ‘Method to the Madness’ and news of an enormous London show slated for next year.

Reading, Leeds and back again.

Steven Loftin grabbed a hot minute to find out more.

The Wombats are shunning their glitzy pop of old for a more guitary, organic affair.
