About This Track

Thy Slaughter's 'Bullets' is a 2023 pop track from the album 'Soft Rock'. The lyrics frame a push and pull of affection and resolve, with the speaker insisting on freedom and no regrets while emotions stay hidden. They describe a physical, impact-driven closeness, likening the experience to arrows in the sky, and then return to a refrain of not letting the other person down. Alongside the romantic urgency, there is a pressure they claim they will take, and a direct question about whether they will make it, turning the song into a plea for truth.

"Bullets" is a track by Thy Slaughter, from the album Soft Rock, released 1st December 2023. The track is 2:43 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 2 articles about Thy Slaughter.

Lyrics

Bullets

Freedom, no regrets
Emotions never show
I need to let you know
Your touch hits me so hard
Like two arrows in the sky
Too young to let it die
Don't let me down

(I won't let you down)
Pressure, pressure, I'ma take it
Tell the truth, now, will we make it?
(Oh, I won't let you down)
I will catch your bullets 'til the day that I die

Doesn't it feel different? Now we're older
Would you tell me that you'd cried if it was over?
Do you really think we're getting closer?
I just wanna know
'Cause it feels like everything's a little colder
But I know you're still here crying on my shoulder
Tell me, can you see the future getting closer?
Or can we make it on our own?

Please don't promise me nothing
I'm standing in the blue
Still can't get a hold of you
Put my thoughts in an envelope
Write it out to you
Now there's nothing left to lose
Don't let me down

(I won't let you down)
Pressure, pressure, I'ma take it
Tell the truth, now, will we make it?
(Oh, I won't let you down)
I will catch your bullets 'til the day that I die

Doesn't it feel different? Now we're older
Would you tell me that you'd cried if it was over?
Do you really think we're getting closer?
I just wanna know
'Cause it feels like everything's a little colder
But I know you're still here crying on my shoulder
Tell me, can you see the future getting closer?
I will catch your bullets 'til the day that I die

I will catch your bullets 'til the day that I die
Put my thoughts in an envelope
Don't let me down
