About This Track

'Flail' by Thy Slaughter is a 2023 Pop track from the album 'Soft Rock'. The lyrics stage a late-night, unresolved call, with talk of problems being cut out and a strained attempt to communicate. There is a sense of frustration and misfire, as someone tries to “scream” but makes no sound, then circles back to the possibility of being better apart while both parties still feel trapped inside their roles.

"Flail" is a track by Thy Slaughter, from the album Soft Rock, released 1st December 2023. The track is 2:36 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 2 articles about Thy Slaughter.

Lyrics

Flail

You call me up
Never enough to talk about
All of our problems, cut them out
You're in the dark
What do you wanna figure out
Trying to scream, but make no sound

Maybe we are better apart
But you know I can't run away, yeah
Maybe we are, maybe we are
Maybe we are playing our parts
Never know the right thing to say, yeah
I know you care, you know I care

You call me up
Never enough to talk about
All of our problems, cut them out
You're in the dark
What do you want to figure out
Tryna scream but make no sound

Maybe we are better apart
But you know I can't run away, yeah
Maybe we are, maybe we are
Maybe we are playing our parts
Never know the right thing to say, yeah
I know you care, you know I care
