Lyrics

Zombies

I had
Always thought our fates would whisk us far away
Growing up by your side almost every day
Getting shown the ropes together
And I knew
All your deepest secrets from the age of twelve
All your hopes and dreams I knew them oh so well
Watching you fall in and out of love
Wondering if I ever cross your mind
Innocence, maybe more than friends
Then again
It's always been you and I
Fighting zombies way into the night
Never knowing what it truly means
Just a mystery to me
These days
We're hanging out at yours cause the outsides cold and grey
How have we not ever ran out of things to say
Talking under glow in the dark stars
Is it just who we are?
Forever wondering if I ever cross your mind
Innocence, maybe more than friends
Then again
It's always been you and I
Fighting zombies way into the night
Never knowing what it truly means
Just a mystery to me
All those endless hours where we
talked about our lives and growing old
It's always been you and I
Fighting zombies way into the night
Never knowing what it truly means
Just a mystery to me
