About This Track

‘Tears’ by Tyla is a 2024 song in which the lyrics address emotional hurt, self-doubt, and the wish for healing, with the mirror becoming a stand-in for damaging thoughts. The chorus urges surrendering those feelings, repeating “Give all your tears to me” as a direct offer of care. It then reframes struggle as something you should not have to endure alone, insisting that even when effort fails, the pain can be set down and comfort accepted. The overall tone is compassionate and reassuring, with storm imagery adding urgency to the plea.

"Tears" is a track by Tyla, released 20th November 2024. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 5 articles about Tyla.

Lyrics

Tears

[Verse 1]

When the mirror hurts your feelings

You believe in all its lies

When you're broken, need some healing

And there's storm clouds in your eyes

[Chorus]

Give all your tears to me

Give all your tears to me

If you try, and you try and nothing works

Baby, you don't have to hurt

Give all your tears to me

And I'll cry them for you

[Post-Chorus]

Woah-oh

I'll cry them for you

Woah-oh

[Verse 2]

I'm a river you can float in (Float in)

I would never let you drown (Let you drown)

When your eyes turn into oceans (Oceans)

I'll be there before the first drop hits the ground

[Chorus]

Give all your tears to me

Give all your tears to me

If you try, and you try and nothing works

Baby, you don't have to hurt

Give all your tears to me

And I'll cry them for you

[Post-Chorus]

Woah-oh

And I'll cry them for you

Woah-oh

Woah, I'll cry them for you

Woah-oh

I'll cry them for you

I'll cry them for you
