Released as the comeback trailer for BTS's 'Love Yourself 轉 'Tear'' on 7th May 2018, 'Intro: Singularity' is an R&B slow jam built on languid bass and a hypnotising melody. Written by Charlie J. Perry and RM, the track showcases V's vocal range over production that strips back the group's usual maximalism in favour of something more restrained and nocturnal. The lyrics trace a fracture in identity, opening with the sound of something breaking and a voice that has been lost or buried.
