About This Track

'Proof' by Warpaint is a 2022 alternative track from the album 'Radiate Like This'. The lyrics circle around fatigue and longing, with the speaker asking for love while second-guessing when things are enough. There is also a push-pull between confidence and self-doubt, captured in the line “When I wanna be so inspired”. The imagery turns personal and physical, with a torn dress and shifting emotional balance, before landing on a request for support. Overall, it reads like an argument with the self, then a plea to be met.

"Proof" is a track by Warpaint, from the album Radiate Like This, released 5th May 2022. The track is 4:24 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 5 articles about Warpaint.

Lyrics

Proof

When I wanna be so inspired
My mind is way too tired
I need my love
I need my love

And I think it doesn't matter
My dress is torn and tattered
When is enough?
I need my love

When I'm swinging high and swinging low
All my energy wants to follow where I go
Just get behind me
Aye, aye, aye, aye

The proof is, the proof is, the proof is, the proof is in the pudding
Energy is finding me
The proof is, the proof is, the proof is, the proof is in the pudding

Was it all a crazy dream?
Did you really come to me?
Find it hard to bеlieve
But the proof is, thе proof is in the pudding

The proof is, the proof is, the proof is, the proof is in the pudding
The proof is, the proof is, the proof is, the proof is in the pudding

Hold on to me
If you ever wanna get some ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah
Love, love, love, love

I need my love
I need my love
I need my love
I need my love
