'Your Face' orbits a single moment of recognition, one that loops and repeats until it becomes inescapable. Wisp builds the track around a fundamental asymmetry: the other person looks at her the same way, but she cannot look back. The song doesn't resolve this imbalance so much as inhabit it, circling the image of a face seen again and again, each sighting deepening the trap. The production moves between states of clarity and submersion. Fragrant air, black and white imagery, the sensation of drowning and falling all suggest a world flattened into extremes, stripped of the gradations that might let her escape. Wisp's voice carries a kind of suspended quality, caught between wanting to feel and the knowledge that feeling only happens in one direction. The repetition isn't a hook so much as a symptom, the mind doing what it does when it cannot let go.
