Suede have announced a new album 'Antidepressants', and shared lead single 'Disintegrate'
The follow-up to 2022's 'Autofiction' will arrive on 5th September via BMG.
Suede have announced their tenth studio album 'Antidepressants', alongside sharing new single 'Disintegrate'.
The follow-up to 2022's 'Autofiction' will arrive on 5th September via BMG, with the band set to celebrate its release with four exclusive headline shows at London's Southbank Centre.
"If 'Autofiction' was our punk record, 'Antidepressants' is our post-punk record," frontman Brett Anderson explains. "It's about the tensions of modern life, the paranoia, the anxiety, the neurosis. We are all striving for connection in a disconnected world. This was the feel I wanted the songs to have. The album is called 'Antidepressants'. This is broken music for broken people."
The album was recorded live with producer Ed Buller, who has worked with the band since their 1992 debut single 'The Drowners'. "It is genuinely exciting being in this band," Anderson continues. "It feels like we're still pushing creatively."
