Armin van Buuren is a Dutch DJ, musician, and record producer born on 25 December 1976. Since 2001, he has hosted the radio show A State of Trance (ASOT), which is broadcast to nearly 40 million listeners across 84 countries on over 100 FM radio stations. The radio show contributed to his recognition and helped promote trance music globally. Van Buuren has received multiple accolades, including being ranked the number one DJ by DJ Mag five times, four consecutive years. He was ranked fifth on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list in 2022, and has also been ranked fourth in 2015, 2016, 2019, and 2020, and third in 2017. In 2014, he received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance Recording for his single 'This Is What It Feels Like' featuring Trevor Guthrie, making him the fourth trance artist to be nominated for a Grammy. In the United States, he holds the record for the most entries—twenty-one—on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
