Flipturn is an American indie rock band from Fernandina Beach, Florida, formed in 2015 by high school seniors Dillon Basse, Tristan Duncan, and Madeline Jarman. The band was initially established during their time at the University of Florida, and later added guitarist and synthesizer player Mitch Fountain and drummer Devon VonBalson. They gained recognition in 2018 with the release of their EP Citrona. In June 2022, Flipturn signed with Dualtone Records and released their debut album, Shadowglow, in August 2022. The album was followed by a tour across the United States and appearances at festivals including Lollapalooza, Governor’s Ball, Bonnaroo, Shaky Knees, and SXSW. Their second studio album, Burnout Days, was released in January 2025.
