GEOLOGIST

Geologist is the stage name of Brian Ross Weitz, an American musician born on March 26, 1979. He is a member of the experimental pop group Animal Collective, where he contributes electronic sound manipulations and samples. Weitz grew up in Philadelphia and Baltimore and resides in Washington, DC. His nickname originated from a friend mistaking his college major and from the headlamp he wears during live performances to see his electronic equipment.
