About JADE

Jade Amelia Thirlwall (born 26 December 1992), known professionally as JADE, is an English singer and songwriter whose solo work marks a bold reinvention following her global success as a member of Little Mix.

After more than a decade as part of one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, JADE emerged as a solo artist with a distinct artistic vision rooted in theatrical pop, emotional honesty and genre experimentation.

There are more vocalists, acts and bands called Jade.

2.Jade were an English folk rock band founded in 1970 by Dave Waite & Marianne Segal who had been performing as a folk duo since the mid 1960s. In the United States the group was known as Marianne Segal and Silver Jade. Jade consisted of Segal (songwriter, vocals, guitar, percussion), Waite (guitar, banjo, bass and vocals) and Rod Edwards (keyboards, bass and vocals). Their album Fly On Strangewings was recorded in March 1970 at Trident Studios in London. Jade disbanded in the autumn of 1971. They reformed for a single performance in November 2004 to mark the CD reissue of their album.

3. Jade was an R&B group active during the early to mid-1990s. The group is best known for the 1993 hit, 'Don't Walk Away'. Other hit singles include 'I Wanna Love You', 'One Woman', and 'Every Day Of The Week'. In 1994 the band appeared in the movie 'The Inkwell'.

5. Jade (an alias of Gabor Simon), alongside Chris.SU and Matt-U, is one of Hungary's most prominent drum & bass DJs and producers. Working primarily in the experimental/avant-garde technoid influenced neurofunk sub-genre of drum and bass, Jade was signed to and released material on the Citrus record label and has also had songs featured on other prestigious drum and bass record labels including Moving Shadow Records and Black Sun Empire Recordings. He is also well-known for being the founder of the label Eatbrain. Some of Jade's best known songs include the collossal collaboration with Matt-U: 'Got Lost', 'Acid Flood' and 'Unexist', of which the latter two were featured on Black Sun Empire's Endangered Species. Jade's debut album Venom was released in 2009 on the Dutch Citrus Label. This LP features typical dark and deep neurofunk tracks jade's well known for, as well as some experimental and downtempo songs.

5. Jade was a female-fronted heavy metal band from Canada, formed in 1982. They allegedly hold the distinction of being the first female-fronted band in heavy metal and were signed to Dutch label Roadrunner in 1984. The band was founded by lead guitarist Pat Belrose in Toronto, Canada, with Roxy Lyons as the original lead singer. She was replaced by Sweet Marie Black for their second album If You're Man Enough (1985). They toured all across Canada and the United States in support of their two albums, but their biggest fanbases were in Quebec and Europe. Sweet Marie Black left the band in 1987 and was succeeded by Pete RiekerR (1987-1988) and Jamie Lee Saint (1989). Pat Belrose has since relocated to California in 1993 and has formed popular L.A. heavy metal act World Jungle there.

6. Jade is a rock / pop / soul artist from New York, NY, United States. Her most popular track is 'Take The Hit'.

7. Jade is the name of a Chinese girl group. The best known song of them is 'Finally'.

8. Jade also refers to the popular artist who heads the J-Pop group Sweetbox. She has performed songs for the English version of Final Fantasy X-2 and has released such songs as 'Everytime', 'Sorry' and 'Waterfall' among a host of other solo works. In 2005, she released a compilation of some of her best known works.

9. Jade is also a recording name of Peter Martin (also releasing as Anthanasia). Jade has been used on mix albums such as Painting on Silence and Sander Kleinenberg's Nu Breed.

10. DJ Jade, affectionately known through the Sydney rave scene as the 'Queen of Morning Anthems'. Jade's popularity has remained untouched since the day she spun the final tracks to end what is probably the most legendary Sydney rave of all time: Field of Dreams 4. Her quintessential anthems mixtape, The Liquid Anthems (1995), is undoubtedly the most sought after mixtape in Sydney, with people still desperately hunting down copies so many years after its release.

11. Jade is a triphop group from France (http://www.jade-analogic.com).

12. Jade is the name of one of the Bratz dolls, and appears as an artist on several Bratz albums.

13. Jade was a Beatles-inspired psychedelic pop group formed in Cincinnati, OH, United States. The members were Jim Aumann on keyboard and vocals, Randy Morse on guitar, Tim Nixon on drums and percussion and Nick Root on bass and vocals. They recorded and released their only album Faces of Jade in 1971.

14. Jade is a conceptual rock band from Viña del Mar, Chile. They released the album 451.

20. Jade is the name of a Belgian soloist whose full name is Jade de Rijcke. She won The Voice Kids Belgium in 2018 with the clean version of 'Perfect' by P!nk. In 2019 she signed a contract with Universal and in March of that year her first single 'Straw House' was released, followed by the singles 'Your Type' (2019) and 'Lately' (2020).

21. Jade is a death / doom metal band from Barcelona, Spain. Jade’s music is a tribute to the timeless obscure metal language, from early death / doom manifestations to later atmospheric black metal acts, in a heavy, intense form. They released their EP Smoking Mirror - MMXVIII in 2019 and then their debut album The Pacifications of Death in 2022 (emperorjade.bandcamp.com).

22. Jade (in Korean: 쟈드) is a Korean singer-songwriter and producer under LYL Culture & Entertainment, based in Seoul. Her music is inspired by a wide spectrum of genres, mainly R&B, soul and indie pop, but also jazz and folk.

23. Jade is an ambient computer musician and visual artist. https://jade-archives.bandcamp.com/

27. JADE is a quartet band from the former East Germany. Founded in August 1987 at Fürstenwalde. Their music plays around avantgarde, new wave synths, and alternative rock, all written in English, which is quite rare for GDR artists to write a song in English. The musicians justified their decision to sing in English by saying that the language was more singable and more useful for their goal of conveying emotions and would help reach a wider audience among young music lovers. They got a professional debut in 1989. They usually plays at the workshop week of youth dance music in Frankfurt/Oder. Numerous TV, radio appearances, and tours abroad took the band to the Soviet Union twice. It was also the year when their first record was released. Jade's Amiga-Quartett, with the song "Sky", "Living", "Money", and "Mine". After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the group's outlook apparently changed as well. There were no opportunities to perform and so the band split up in 1990. In 2012, JADE celebrated a comeback after more than 20 years. With the exception of Matthias Rudolph, the former drummer. All of the original musicians were back. Harald Wenzek has been drumming for JADE since the band was re-formed. New song material has also been created in the meantime. Unlike in the 80s, the band's lyrics are now in German. The band plays live concert occasionally. For example, in April 2014, they play at the Inselbiergarten on the Ziegenwerder in Frankfurt/Oder. JADE released their second album "Wilde Pferde" in spring 2017. It's a four-song EP CD. Members: • André Nietschke (voc.) 1987-1990, since 2012 • Dirk Buhtz (ld. g.) 1987-1990, since 2012 • Thomas Köntopp (b.) 1987-1990, since 2012 • Matthias Rudolph (dr.) 1987-1990 • Harald Wenzek (dr.) 1987-1990, since 2012
