Jagwar Ma is an Australian psychedelic dance band formed in Sydney in 2011. The group includes Gabriel Winterfield on lead vocals and guitar, Jono Ma on guitar, beats, synths, and production, and bass guitarist Jack Freeman, who joined in 2012. The band’s name combines a satirical reference to a jaguar and Jono Ma's surname. In 2013, Jagwar Ma signed with record labels Mom+Pop, Marathon Artists, and Future Classic, and released its debut album, Howlin’. The band’s second album, Every Now and Then, was released on 14 October 2016.
