Jehnny Beth, born Camille Berthomier on 24 December 1984, is a French musician and actress. She is originally from Poitiers and has been based in London since 2006, as well as in Paris. Beth gained recognition in Europe as part of the indie rock duo John & Jehn and internationally as the frontwoman of the post-punk revival band Savages. Her debut solo album, To Love Is to Live, was released in June 2020 and received critical acclaim. She has collaborated with artists including Trentemøller, Julian Casablancas, Tindersticks, Gorillaz, Noel Gallagher, Romy Madley Croft, Idles, and Bobby Gillespie. In 2021, she released a duet album with Gillespie titled Utopian Ashes, which received favorable reviews. Beth has also pursued acting, appearing in films such as An Impossible Love (2018), for which she was nominated for Best Female Newcomer at the 2019 Cesar Awards, and Anatomy of a Fall (2023).
