
Maren Larae Morris, born April 10, 1990, in Arlington, Texas, is an American country singer and songwriter. Her music has been described as country pop with elements of R&B, hip-hop, and rock. Morris's debut studio album, Hero (2016), featured the single 'My Church,' which became her breakout hit at country radio. She also released successful singles such as '80s Mercedes,' 'I Could Use a Love Song,' and 'Rich.' In 2018, she was featured on the song 'The Middle,' which reached the top ten in several countries. Her second album, Girl (2019), included the number one singles 'Girl' and 'The Bones.' Her third album, Humble Quest (2022), earned her a Guinness World Record for most first-day and first-week streams for a country album by a female artist on Amazon Music. Morris has received multiple awards, including a Grammy Award, an American Music Award, five Country Music Association Awards, and five Academy of Country Music Awards. She has also recorded as a member of the group the Highwomen. Two of her albums have been certified for sales in North America.
