Metronomy are an English electronic music band formed in Totnes in 1999. The lineup includes founding member Joseph Mount, who performs vocals, keyboards, and guitar; Oscar Cash on keyboards, backing vocals, guitar, and saxophone; Anna Prior on drums and backing vocals; Olugbenga Adelekan on bass and backing vocals; and Michael Lovett on keyboards and guitar. Their music comprises vocal and instrumental electronic pop. The band has released seven studio albums: Pip Paine (Pay The £5000 You Owe), Nights Out, The English Riviera, Love Letters, Summer 08, Metronomy Forever, and Small World. Mount has also produced remixes under the band's name and has remixed songs by artists such as Gorillaz, Sebastien Tellier, Roots Manuva, Franz Ferdinand, Klaxons, Goldfrapp, Young Knives, Zero 7, Ladytron, Kate Nash, Lady Gaga, and Lykke Li.

Metronomy are set to hit the road this week as part of a UK tour, before a summer of festivals and European dates.
The song is the latest single from the band’s seventh album 'Small World', which hit Number 7 in the UK Official Charts upon its release back in February.
“It's true though, most things ARE easier on your own. Except moving house, tug-o-war and writing a song."

Based on a tea towel the band made available via DRIFT in Totnes, it reveals some special places for the group.
After a period of forced contemplation and reassessment, Metronomy's Joseph Mount hit a new creative hot streak. Now seven albums deep, 'Small World' sees them operating in a whole new register.
Held in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, the festival will take place between 18th and 21st August.
Seems a bold claim, but we'll allow it.
