
Reverend and the Makers are an English rock band from Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The band is led by Jon McClure, known as "The Reverend." Their debut album, The State of Things, was released in 2007 and included the UK top 10 single 'Heavyweight Champion of the World.' Their second album, A French Kiss in the Chaos, came out in 2009 and led to supporting Oasis on their final tour, including performances at venues such as Wembley Stadium. The band released their third studio album, @Reverend_Makers, in 2012, followed by ThirtyTwo in 2014, which incorporated more electronic and dance music influences. Their fifth album, Mirrors, was released in 2015, and The Death of a King followed in 2017, featuring a sound influenced by hard rock and folk. In 2023, they released Heatwave in the Cold North, their seventh album, which was their first Top 10 album in the UK in 16 years.
