Röyksopp is a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø, formed in 1998. The duo consists of childhood friends Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. They gained recognition with their 2001 debut album, Melody A.M., released on the Wall of Sound record label. The group has explored various electronic genres, including ambient, house music, and synth-pop. Röyksopp is known for their elaborate concert performances featuring eccentric outfits. They have been nominated for two Grammy Awards and have won seven Spellemannprisen awards. The duo has performed worldwide and produced albums that have topped charts in several countries.
