Sevendust is an American rock band formed in 1994 in Atlanta, Georgia. The band was initially composed of bassist Vinnie Hornsby, drummer Morgan Rose, and guitarist John Connolly. Lead vocalist Lajon Witherspoon and guitarist Clint Lowery joined the group after their first demo. The band underwent several name changes before settling on Sevendust. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1997, selling 310 copies in its first week and later achieving gold certification. Sevendust has released 14 studio albums and has attained success with three consecutive RIAA gold-certified albums. The band received a Grammy nomination and has sold millions of records worldwide.
