

Slowthai, born Tyron Kaymone Frampton on 18 December 1994, is a British rapper from Northampton. He gained recognition in 2019 for his gritty instrumentals and politically charged lyrics. That year, he placed fourth in the BBC Sound of 2019 and released his debut studio album, Nothing Great About Britain, which was nominated for the Mercury Prize. During the Mercury Prize ceremony, he performed with a fake severed head of British prime minister Boris Johnson, generating controversy. He subsequently released his second album, Tyron, in 2021, and his third album, Ugly, in 2023.
