
Suzi Quatro, born Susan Kay Quatro on June 3, 1950, is an American singer, bass guitarist, songwriter, and actress. She achieved chart success in Europe and Australia during the 1970s with singles such as 'Can the Can' (1973) and 'Devil Gate Drive' (1974), both reaching number one in several countries. Quatro released her self-titled debut album in 1973 and has since issued 15 studio albums, 10 compilation albums, and one live album. Her other notable songs include '48 Crash', 'Daytona Demon', 'The Wild One', and 'Your Mama Won't Like Me', which also charted highly overseas. She played the recurring role of Leather Tuscadero, a bass-playing character, on the American sitcom Happy Days. Her duet 'Stumblin' In' with Chris Norman of Smokie reached number four in the US, her only top 40 hit in her home country. Between 1973 and 1980, Quatro received six Bravo Ottos, awards voted by readers of the German teen magazine Bravo. In 2010, she was inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Legends online Hall of Fame. It is reported that she has sold over 50 million records worldwide and continues to perform live.
