CAST

Cast are an English indie rock band formed in Liverpool in 1992 by John Power and Peter Wilkinson. Power left The La's, and Wilkinson's former band Shack had split before forming Cast. The band’s early line-ups included different guitarists and drummers until Liam "Skin" Tyson and Keith O'Neill joined in 1993. Cast signed to Polydor Records and released their debut album, All Change, in 1995, which included the single 'Walkaway' and became the highest-selling debut album for the label. They released subsequent albums Mother Nature Calls in 1997 and Magic Hour in 1999. Their fourth album, Beetroot, was released in 2001 and marked a change in sound, which was poorly received critically and commercially. The band split two weeks after the release of Beetroot. Cast re-formed in November 2010 and released their fifth album, Troubled Times, in November 2011. In March 2015, bassist Peter Wilkinson confirmed his departure from the band, having previously left a tour in December 2014.
