Marking her first solo appearance at the Californian festival on 11th April,
Addison Rae delivered a set that included a surprise guest spot from dancer Maddie Ziegler during a performance of '
Aquamarine'.
Prior to taking the stage, Rae had teased a revamped live experience on Instagram, writing: "This show is not really #TheAddisonTourShow anymore….. it's #TheFameAndGloryShow. Sort of a 2.0. Starts at
Coachella and finishes in Poland. You don't want to miss it!!!!!"
Kicking things off with '
Diet Pepsi' as "The Fame and Glory Show" flashed across the screen behind her, Rae built towards the set's standout moment when Ziegler emerged on stage during 'Aquamarine'. Dressed in a flowing white ensemble that contrasted with Rae's bright red latex, Ziegler performed the track's dance break alongside the singer.
The nods to fellow performers didn't stop there. With Justin Bieber headlining later that evening, Rae pulled on a version of his recognisable purple hoodie while performing '
Headphones On', asking the crowd: "You here for JB?" During her 'Von Dutch' Charli XCX remix, she added: "Just kidding, I'm here for Justin Bieber."
The Coachella performance comes a year after Rae appeared at the festival as a guest during sets by both Arca and Charli XCX, where she also announced her debut album '
Addison'.
