K-pop group aespa teams up with Steve Aoki to release English and remixed versions of their hit single 'Whiplash'.
aespa have released an English version of their single 'Whiplash', alongside a Steve Aoki remix and sped-up version via SM Entertainment / Virgin Records.
The K-pop group's original version of 'Whiplash' has accumulated nearly 150 million YouTube views and charted on Billboard's World Albums and Global 200 charts. The house track features a bass-driven beat and showcases the group's confident attitude.
Steve Aoki adds: "I'm so excited to team up with aespa on 'Whiplash'. The original already has such an electrifying energy, so getting to collaborate with the group to bring a fresh new vibe to the record was a fun creative challenge."
The release follows aespa's fifth mini-album 'Whiplash' and their first full-length album 'Armageddon', which featured the single 'Supernova'. The track spent 15 consecutive weeks at number one on Korea's Melon and Genie platforms.
The group will return to the UK for SMTOWN LIVE at Allianz Twickenham Stadium. The dates read:
