Cameron Picton releases 'Love Story' from upcoming My New Band Believe debut
The self-titled debut arrives on Rough Trade with strings by Kiran Leonard.

Cameron Picton has unveiled a new track from his project My New Band Believe. Titled 'Love Story', the single is lifted from the outfit's self-titled debut album, which arrives via Rough Trade.
Built around piano and layered with strings arranged by Kiran Leonard, the track sees Picton navigating domestic intimacy and romantic reverie. A video directed by Parker Corey accompanies the release. The album was first announced last month alongside a separate single, 'Numerology', which does not appear on the record itself.
Discussing his approach to the album, Picton explained: "With this whole record, I was trying to make another case for how the modern singer-songwriter album could sound, both in terms of its production and the writing of the songs themselves. I felt some more popular examples of the genre released between 2019-2023 would make the big feel inconsequential and the small nothing at all, so with this I've tried to give consequence to the small to make the big feel real."
Prior to launching My New Band Believe, Picton was a member of London experimental group black midi.
