Cavetown and beabadoobee have dropped their new collab ‘Fall In Love With A Girl’.
Speaking about the track, Cavetown – AKA Robin Skinner – explains: “‘Fall in Love With a Girl’ is about someone who’s struggling with their sexuality and how that affects their happiness. This person is scared to take the leap to make themselves happy and tries to make things work in a hetero relationship. When they finally take the step to be in a same-sex relationship, they realize how happy it makes them and that it’s okay to trust yourself.”
After coming up with the concept, Robin invited beabadobee and guitarist Jacob Bugden to meet up in London to finish writing and producing the track.
A video for the track will premiere at 5pm GMT today (25th February).
Cavetown will set out on a US headline tour next month, with more to come in 2022. beabadoobee has been at work on her second album, which she’s promising new music from ‘soon’.
