Charli XCX and Clairo have performed ‘Sofia’ together during Clairo’s set at Laneway Festival in Melbourne.

The collaboration took place during Clairo’s set at the Australian festival earlier today (14th February), with the pair sharing the stage for a rendition of the track from Clairo’s 2019 album ‘Immunity’.

The performance marked the first time Clairo has included ‘Sofia’ in her setlist since 2022, with the track serving as the finale of her 13-song set at the festival. Both artists are currently appearing as part of the Laneway Festival tour, which includes stops in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

The pair’s connection extends beyond this live collaboration, with Clairo having previously featured on Charli XCX’s track ‘February 2017’ alongside Yaeji. Clairo has also recently expressed admiration for Charli’s work, particularly regarding the ‘Girl, So Confusing’ remix with Lorde. “I love that song,” Clairo said. “I mean, they’re both geniuses to me. Charli has been someone I’ve looked up to forever, and [the] same thing with Lorde. I just couldn’t appreciate what they’re doing more. It’s really cool and extremely necessary, and I think there was a gap that needed to be filled. I’ve needed someone to say these things to me or remind me of how tricky dynamics can be within female friendships.”

Charli XCX has recently received recognition at the Grammy Awards 2025, securing three awards including Best Dance Pop Recording for ‘Von Dutch’, Best Dance/Electronic Album for ‘Brat’, and Best Recording Package for ‘Brat’. She is also nominated for five BRIT Awards, including Artist Of The Year and Album Of The Year.
