Coldplay have announced the support acts for their upcoming UK stadium shows, including a record-breaking ten-night run at London's Wembley Stadium and two dates at Hull's Craven Park.
The Wembley shows will feature Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela as opening acts. Main support across the dates will come from Ayra Starr, beabadoobee, Elyanna, and TEMS. Malaysian-born, London-based singerChloe Qishawill also appear at select Wembley dates, while Hull-born hip hop artist Chiedu Oraka will perform at the Craven Park shows.
The twelve UK shows sold out within hours of going on sale in September 2024, with Coldplay becoming the first act to secure a ten-night run at Wembley Stadium. For the Hull concerts, which mark the band's first performances in the city, fifty percent of tickets were allocated to fans with local postcodes.
The band will donate ten percent of their proceeds from both venues to Music Venue Trust, supporting grassroots UK venues and emerging artists. The Wembley shows will be powered entirely by solar, wind and kinetic energy, marking a world first for stadium performances.
