Damiano David has released new single 'Next Summer', accompanied by a music video set in an Italian prison.

The track marks the third single from David's debut solo project, following previous releases 'Born With A Broken Heart' and 'Silverlines'. The video explores themes of internal struggle, depicting David as an inmate.

"At first listen, the song speaks about youthful love—an unrequited summer romance," David says. "But on a deeper level, it reveals a much larger reflection. It's an allegory of life—How sometimes we can be prisoners of ourselves, our fears, our insecurities, our inability to change. Our failure to see the world and life from a different perspective in the crucial and defining moments of existence."

The Italian singer-songwriter recently made his solo television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, performing his first two singles. He has also released a cover of Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus' 'Nothing Breaks Like A Heart' for Spotify's Valentine's Day series.
