Eades have announced their second album ‘Final Sirens Call’, set for release via Breakfast Records on 18th September.

The Leeds quintet have shared new single ‘Backwards’ ahead of the eleven-track record, which follows their 2024 EP ‘Fight Or Flight’ and their 2022 debut album ‘Delusion Spree’.

“Backwards is about changing yourself for people you might not even like, walking on egg shells around people that have a darkness to them,” explains lyricist Tom O’Reilly. “It began as a sort of 90s inspired wire rip off, which we did all love dearly, but we later decided to disassemble and rebuild it as something much more authentic to our current influences and where we’re at as a band.”

The album was recorded at Bam Bam studios, owned by vocalist Harry Jordan, who produced the record. “Our influences have all developed a lot since our last record and we have also become a lot more creative with the production process and instrumentation,” Jordan says. “We got really into artists like Wilco, Richard Swift and a lot of the daltones records stuff that all have such a huge sonic signature. They’re also never afraid to experiment with reverb and effects to put the listener into interesting spaces. I think having established a proper home for creating music definitely gave us the freedom to push ourselves, especially considering our previous limitations in equipment and budget holding us back. It’s been very liberating!”
