Bristol duo share 'I Can't Die Like That' alongside biggest UK tour yet.

Getdown Services have announced their new album ‘Massive Champion’, which arrives on 14th August via Breakfast Records.
Alongside the announcement, the Bristol duo have shared new single ‘I Can’t Die Like That’ and confirmed their biggest UK headline tour to date, including a show at London’s Roundhouse on 8th December.
The album follows the band’s debut record ‘Crisps’ and arrives after their recent appearance on Later… with Jools Holland, where they performed album track ‘The Radiator’.
Written while touring, ‘Massive Champion’ was put together across green rooms and long journeys, with the band describing it as “about self pity and realising that maybe all of the healing your inner child stuff you hear about isn’t actually total bollocks. Musically and lyrically I think it’s about us trying to clean up our act a bit.”
Speaking about new single ‘I Can’t Die Like That’, the duo said: “It’s about the feeling of simple things becoming complicated. We thought it was interesting to think about the ways in which something as straightforward as dying can be difficult. It’s also about clinging on to feelings that comfort you but aren’t necessarily healthy.”
The album includes previous single ‘The Radiator’ alongside tracks including ‘Cha Cha Slide’, ‘No One Likes Me’ and ‘600 Dance Lessons’.
Alongside the headline tour, the band are slated to play Harry Styles' Meltdown Festival on 16th June. Artist pre-sale tickets are live now, with the general on-sale opening at 10am on Friday 22nd May.
