Harry Hill has 'done' a flatpack furniture anthem in the style of Self Esteem - watch
Rebecca Lucy Taylor reacts to Hill's deadpan ode to allen keys and instruction manuals in a new preview clip from The Harry Hill Show.

Self Esteem has appeared on the latest instalment of The Harry Hill Show, the comedian's online series that launched earlier this year. During a preview clip shared ahead of the full episode, Hill revealed he had composed an original track inspired by the Sheffield artist's musical style — about assembling flatpack furniture.
Taylor began by describing her songwriting philosophy: "My songs ultimately are saying 'Come on then. Come on, carry on'." Hill explained he had "written a song which is in the style of that", crafting lyrics based on "what information I would like to pass onto them".
Set to a hip-hop-influenced beat, Hill delivered the track 'Instructions For Assembling Flatpack Furniture' with deadpan sincerity. "Always start by reading the instruction manual thoroughly, before beginning assembly/ Identify each panel and hardware piece before you start assembling/ Pay close attention to the orientation of each panel – pre-drilled holes are often a good indication of this," he recited.
He continued: "Most of all, get an allen key, you'll need that for sure/ Organise all parts before starting/ Check the parts against what is included in the box/ Lay out all the components and match them with the diagrams in the manual." The song concluded: "If anything is missing, contact the manufacturer before starting assembly/ If all that fails, ask your dad/ Just ask your dad."
Taylor responded: "Am I going mad? But that was genuinely beautiful." She then added with a laugh: "I've just realised, it's a piece of piss doing songs like that," noting it "gave me a good idea" for future material. Drawing a comparison to her own work on third album 'A Complicated Woman', she said: "I like doing instruction songs or list songs. On my new album there is a list of sex positions and whether I like them or not…"
CMAT also appeared recently, with Hill declaring himself "such a big fan" of her album 'Euro-Country'. That collaboration extended beyond the show — CMAT performed in a hamster suit during filming, and later brought Hill on stage at Alexandra Palace, where he dressed as a dartboard during 'Have Fun' while audience members threw darts at him.
