HotWax reflect on their own destructive behaviour with new single 'I Wanna Be A Doll'
Hastings band HotWax release energetic new single ahead of their Catherine Marks-produced debut album 'Hot Shock'.

HotWax have released new single 'I Wanna Be A Doll', taken from their upcoming debut album 'Hot Shock'.
The track arrives ahead of the band's first full-length record, set for release on 7th March via Marathon Artists. The song was regularly performed during the group's recent support slots with The Libertines and Warmduscher.
"This was the first song we wrote for the album, we rewrote it in so many different ways and it ended up pretty similar to the first version, which seems to be how it goes," explains vocalist Tallulah Sim-Savage. "It's a song where I am writing about myself from someone else's point of view, being self aware of my bad - sometimes destructive - traits."
'Hot Shock' was produced by Catherine Marks and Steph Marziano at London's RAK Studios, with additional recording taking place with Warpaint's Stella Mozgawa in Joshua Tree. The album follows the band's two EPs released in 2023.
