Maybe, definitely not: Liam Gallagher shoots down those Oasis album whispers

With 15 massive stadium dates locked in across three continents, the Oasis reunion is sticking to the classics – and that’s exactly how Liam wants it

Maybe, definitely not: Liam Gallagher shoots down those Oasis album whispers

Liam Gallagher has dismissed recent claims about Oasis recording new material, confirming there is “no Oasis album in the making”.

The former Oasis frontman had previously suggested the band were working on fresh material, telling fans on social media that a new album was “already finished” and that he was “blown away” by material written by Noel.

However, Gallagher has now clarified these statements were made in jest.

“I was fucking joking remember them and the reason being because everyone is a little uptight these days I’m sorry if I have upset anyone but fuck me it was a laugh,” Gallagher wrote on X/Twitter.

Responding to a fan who suggested the reunion shows alone were sufficient, he added: “Exactly people always want more let’s just get in a big stadium and go ape shit and see what happens after that you with me or what.”
