Lizzo recently revealed a few details about her new music, expected to arrive later this year.
Speaking to Variety, as part of a cover feature around her new Amazon show Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, the star revealed that the record is “a love album.”
“Broadly, I’ve been working on this album since the summer of 2018,” she explains. “It has evolved to a place where I’m proud. It’s one of the most musically badass, daring and sophisticated bodies of work I’ve done to date.
“I am not done,” Lizzo continues. “I’m still pushing out the hits, baby. And I hope that it is some of the most useful pieces of music to ever exist. All I want to do is help people through my music.”
Elsewhere in the feature, she talks in detail about the new show, which premieres on Prime Video on 25th March. You can read the full interview here.
