Maggie Rogers has launched a foundation to support the next generation of music students
An endowed scholarship fund at NYU Tisch marks the foundation's first initiative.

A decade on from the viral moment that saw Pharrell react to her demo of 'Alaska' during an NYU masterclass, Maggie Rogers has announced the creation of The Maggie Rogers Foundation, a philanthropic platform aimed at providing students with comparable opportunities in arts and music education.
Central to the foundation's mission is supporting the health and wellbeing of women of all identities across communities in the United States. Its inaugural project takes the form of The Maggie Rogers Endowed Scholarship Fund at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where Rogers herself studied. The fund will provide financial aid specifically for students pursuing degrees in music production.
Alongside the foundation announcement, Rogers appeared on The Late Show to bid farewell to Stephen Colbert, performing Frank Sinatra's 'One More For My Baby' - a nod to Bette Midler's performance on Johnny Carson's final Tonight Show episode. She also played 'Alaska' to mark the song's tenth anniversary.
