Makeshift Art Bar have signed to Heist or Hit and shared ‘Chocolate’ from new EP ‘Marionette’
Daniel Fox-produced lead single 'Chocolate' is out now from the Belfast four-piece

Having already turned heads with debut EP 'Lackluster Writing Makes Fundamental Reading', Belfast four-piece Makeshift Art Bar have now signed to Heist or Hit.
The group have also confirmed details of their forthcoming second EP 'Marionette', due on 26th June, with lead single 'Chocolate' available now.
"Choosing loneliness is something we all relate to," the band explain. "In 'Chocolate', loneliness is less of an escape and more of a surrender - losing all control makes a life of solitude easy to accept. It's accepted with warmth. Our character screams the paradox of saying everything, yet having no desire for anything in return. This is the last attempt to gain ownership, despite their imminent doom. This is a descendant into a cave of madness and the deeper we go, the harder it is to hear the voice of clarity at the surface. The frenzied mantra becomes a prison - built brick by brick with your own hands. Defeated, deflated, alone…"
Produced by Daniel Fox, 'Chocolate' arrives as Makeshift Art Bar prepare to head out across Europe in support of Chalk this month. The run of continental dates will be followed by headline shows of their own in Derry and Dublin, before an appearance alongside Just Mustard at Dublin's 3Olympia in May.
