Matilda Mann has covered Chet Baker's 'There Will Never Be Another You'
London singer Matilda Mann releases string-accompanied cover of Chet Baker's classic for new tribute album featuring contemporary artists.

Matilda Mann has released her version of 'There Will Never Be Another You' as part of the upcoming 'Chet Baker Re:Imagined' project.
The track appears ahead of the full album, which features interpretations from artists including dodie, Matt Maltese, mxmtoon, grentperez, and Benny Sings. The collection reimagines Baker's work through various genres, blending jazz, pop, soul, and R&B with contemporary production approaches.
Mann's rendition pairs her vocals with orchestral arrangements, drawing inspiration from Baker's 'With Strings' album. The interpretation features violin, viola, and cello accompaniment.
She continues: "There Will Never Be Another You is such a bittersweet song - getting to have loved someone so much, but then coming to terms with the fact you'll never have that again with someone else. It felt romantic and painful, all at the same time, which is why I chose to make it more of a ballad with strings and piano to really point out the lyrics. I loved writing a new verse at the end with lyrics that talk about is what heartbreak has felt like to me."
