mxmtoon has covered Chet Baker's 'I Fall In Love Too Easily' for a new tribute album

Decca Records have announced mxmtoon as the latest artist to feature on their upcoming Chet Baker tribute album, sharing her version of 'I Fall In Love Too Easily'.

The track appears on 'Chet Baker Re:imagined', a new 15-track collection celebrating the 70th anniversary of 'Chet Baker Sings'. The full album features an international roster of artists reimagining Baker's work across various genres.

UK contributors include dodie, Matt Maltese, Matilda Mann, Joel Culpepper, Ife Ogunjobi, Hohnen Ford, Eloise, Poppy Daniels, and Puma Blue. The project also brings together Benny Sings from the Netherlands, Canada's Stacey Ryan, South Korea's Sarah Kang, and Australian-Filipino artist grentperez.

Baker, a pioneer of cool jazz, transformed the genre through his distinctive vocal style and trumpet playing. 'Chet Baker Sings' established a new approach to jazz balladry, with its introspective and delicate arrangements setting a new standard for the genre.
